Gospel artist Redemption preaches anti domestic violence

Gospel star Brian Juma popularly known by the stage name Redemption has kicked start an anti domestic violence campaign.

Redemption who earlier this week announced his campaign hinted that his childhood had been marred by violence that normally occurred between his father and mother that he says didn’t hurt him physiologically but also physically as at some time his father will move and beat him up after a confrontation with his mother.

” There is nothing as bad as a  child who leaves in fear, thinking that they are the cause or the problem to whatever is happening in their family, since I was a child I had never seen  my mother having peace until a few years back when I was a grown up man, through out my 23 years in the world 6years of my life were to remove the bitterness I had with my step – father for ruining my life, that of my siblings and especially that of my mother, the rest of the years were to experience the reason for bitterness # domestic violence .

We grew up knowing that violence will never end in our family and this violence used to affect me so much not just mentally but also physically , every time my mom and him would fight even if I was outside he would look for me and give me a beating like no one’s business and this used to happen daily and it really affected me in every angle of my life ….help me campaign # stop domestic violence .”
