Short-time working allowance instead of termination

Due to the corona crisis, many companies are unable to deploy and pay their employees full-time. If at least 10% of the employees in a company are affected by a loss of working hours, the employer can apply for short-time work at the Employment Agency. The short-time work allowance is intended to at least partially compensate for a loss of earnings. In addition, jobs can be maintained and there are no redundancies. 60% of the net loss of earnings (67% for parents) is covered and social security contributions are also paid.
